News Thierrée to Bring Aurélia’s Oratorio to La Jolla in 2010 Aurélia’s Oratorio, the acclaimed nouveaux cirque act from Aurélia Thierrée and Victoria Thierrée Chaplin, will play the La Jolla Playhouse in 2010.

The work has played critically praised runs around the world, with a recent return to the American Repertory Theater this past July. Victoria Thierrée Chaplin directs the production that features her daughter, Aurélia Thierrée and Jaime Martinez. Aurélia's Oratorio will run Feb. 3-28, 2010 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

Victoria Thierrée Chaplin has collaborated with her son, James Thierrée, on the design and costumes for his productions Junebug Symphony, La Viellée des Abysses and Au Revoir Parapluie, which received acclaimed stagings at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Aurélia's Oratorio is her latest creation.

Aurélia Thierrée began her career performing in Le Cirque Imaginaire and Le Cirque Invisible. She has toured with the Tiger Lillies in The Tiger Lillies Circus and worked with film artists including Milos Forman, Coline Serreau and Jacques Baratier.
