News This Year's Olivier Awards Announce Their Host Lenny Henry is to host this year's Olivier Awards, which are being held April 12 at London's Royal Opera House.



Henry, who is soon to appear in Educating Rita at Chichester's Minerva Theatre, won the 2013 Critics Circle Theatre Award for Best Actor for his performance in August Wilson's Fences that transferred to the West End's Duchess Theatre following a regional tour.

Best known as a stand-up comedian and TV presenter, he has also appeared onstage in Othello (for Northern Broadsides that subsequently transferred to the West End's Trafalgar Studios) and as Antipholus of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors (at the National Theatre).

Most recently, he starred in Rudy's Rare Records on tour and at London's Hackney Empire last year.
