The immersive Off-Broadway staging of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will welcome a new Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett beginning February 27.

Thom Sesma and Sally Ann Triplett will succeed Hugh Panaro and Carolee Carmello, who will play their final performances in the acclaimed, extended production at the Barrow Street Theatre February 25.

Tickets for Sweeney Todd are now selling through May 27.

Also wrapping performances in the production February 25 will be Jake Boyd as Anthony, Eryn LeCroy as Johanna, and John-Michael Lyles as Tobias. Billy Harrigan Tighe (Pippin), DeLaney Westfall (Kinky Boots), and Zachary Noah Piser (Wicked) will take over their roles, respectively.

Sesma’s Broadway credits include The Times They Are A-Changin’, Man of La Mancha, La Cage aux Folles, and Search and Destroy. Triplett has been seen on Broadway in Carrie, The Last Ship, and Finding Neverland, as well as in the West End in Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, and Chicago, among other shows.

Directed by Bill Buckhurst, The Tooting Arts Club’s immersive production of Sweeney Todd began previews February 14, 2017, at the Barrow Street Theatre prior to an official opening March 1. The downtown theatre has been completely transformed into a working pie shop for the show, with theatregoers encouraged to dine in the theatre prior to the performance.

Current cast members Michael James Leslie (as Judge Turpin), John Rapson (as The Beadle) and Stacie Bono (as Pirelli & Beggar Woman) will stay on with the production. The cast also includes Matt Leisy, Liz Pearce, Danny Rothman, and Monet Sabel.

Sweeney Todd features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler from an adaptation by Christopher Bond.

The creative team for the Off-Broadway production includes set and costume designer Simon Kenny, lighting designer Amy Mae, and sound designer by Matt Stine. Music supervision and arrangements are by Benjamin Cox, with music direction by Matt Aument, casting by Telsey + Company / Cesar A. Rocha, CSA, and production stage management by Richard A. Hodge.
