News Thursday Nights Go Improv at Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center, Feb. 3 Improvicide and Redheaded Stepchild, two improvisational comedy troupes based in Los Angeles, will split Thursday nights at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Centre in NoHo starting Feb. 3 for a six-week run. Improvicide and Redheaded Stepchild, two improvisational comedy troupes based in Los Angeles, will split Thursday nights at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Centre in NoHo starting Feb. 3 for a six-week run. Improvicide's show will be at 7:30 PM, followed by Redheaded Stepchild at 9 PM. Tickets for one show are $7, or both shows for $10.

Improvicide began two years ago mixing sketch comedy and improv. Since then it has retooled to perform only improv. Sister group Redheaded Stepchild has been performing for the last year at the Chandler Theatre. Both groups are under the direction of Marsha Meyers, one of the founding members of the award-winning improv company War Babies, who worked out of the Cast Theatre in the 80s and were also seen in an A & E TV special.

The cast for Improvicide features Ann Farthing, Greg Forshey, Landall Goolsby, Jason Henson, Rose Rossler, Simone Stevens, Joe Wright and Art Ybarra. The cast for Redheaded Stepchild includes Marcela Avila, Jeff Cole, Lisa Cole, Beth Forshey, Henson, Sharlene Louie, Deirdre O'Neil, Kellye Rowland, Chris Williams and Dan Wingard.
