News Tickets for Salonga's Carnegie Hall Debut On Sale Aug. 22 Tickets for Lea Salonga's solo Carnegie Hall concert debut are now on sale.

As previously reported, Salonga will perform at the famed hall Nov. 7 at 7 PM. The evening — presented by Diverse City Theater Company with Eleven Seven Partners, LLC — will be directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit Diverse City Theater.

Salonga is expected to perform a mix of show tunes, jazz standards and other popular favorites. In a statement, the award-winning singer-actress said, "It has always been my dream to take my turn at the most respected concert hall in the world. As enormous as that is for me, I still plan on making it an intimate show, singing the songs I love to sing and making some good music with a band of musicians the good old fashioned way."

Lea Salonga burst onto the London and New York theatre scene as Kim in the international hit musical Miss Saigon. For her performance, she was awarded the Laurence Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World awards. On Broadway she was also seen in another Boublil Schönberg musical, Les Misérables, as the ill-fated Eponine, a role she would later repeat in the concert video of the musical. Her most recent Broadway appearance was in the revival of Flower Drum Song.

In her native Philippines, the singer-actress has appeared in productions of Baby, Annie, The Sound of Music, The Goodbye Girl, Paper Moon, The Fantasticks, My Fair Lady, Into the Woods, They're Playing Our Song and, most recently, Proof. On film, Salonga sang the female leads in the Disney animated films "Aladdin" and "Mulan" and has recorded several solo albums.
