News Tickets On Sale for Tony Kushner's Intelligent Homosexual's Guide Jan. 25 Tickets for the Public Theater and Signature Theatre Company New York City premiere of Tony Kushner's The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism With a Key to the Scriptures go on sale Jan. 25.

Director Michael Greif, who staged the world premiere of the play at the Guthrie Theater in 2009, also directs the Off-Broadway run, which begins March 22 and will officially open May 5 at the Public. Performances are scheduled through June 12.

The cast includes Bill Camp (Adam), Michael Cristofer (Gus), Linda Emond (Empty), Michael Esper (Eli), Steven Pasquale (Vinny) and Stephen Spinella (Pill). Cristofer, Emond, Esper and Spinella originated their roles in the Guthrie run.

Here's how The Complete Homosexual's Guide is billed: "In the summer of 2007, Gus Marcantonio, a retired longshoreman, summons his children to the family's Brooklyn brownstone for a series of shocking announcements. The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide… explores revolution, radicalism, marriage, sex, prostitution, politics, real estate, unions of all kinds and debts both repaid and unpayable."

A Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner for Angels in America, Kushner also penned Short Talks on the Universe, A Bright Room Called Day, Slavs!, Hydriotaphia, Homebody/Kabul and the book to the Tony-nominated musical Caroline, or Change. The Signature Theatre Company is currently presenting repertory productions of Angels in America Off-Broadway. His adaptations include of Corneille's The Illusion, S.Y. Ansky's The Dybbuk, Brecht's The Good Person of Sezuan and Mother Courage.
