News Tim McInnerny and Eamonn Walker Cast in London Globe's Othello Tim McInnerny will take on the role of Iago opposite Eamonn Walker's Othello in London's Shakespeare Globe production of Othello.

Shakespeare's tragedy kicks off the Globe's "Renaissance + Revolution" season on May 24 following previews that begin May 4.

Both Walker and McInnerny are best known for their television work. Walker played Kareem Said in the HBO prison series "Oz" and has previously played the title role in Othello for a 2001 television adaptation broadcast on ITV. Onstage he played Marc Antony opposite Denzel Washington in the Belasco Theatre 2005 production of Julius Caesar.

McInnerny is recognizable to many as Captain Darling in the BBC television sitcom "Blackadder." His stage credits include Comedians, Mappa Mundi (in the West End and at the National. respectively) and most recently Trevor Nunn's Almeida production of The Lady and the Sea.

Othello is directed by the Steppenwolf-trained, Tony-nominated Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore). Music is provided by Oscar-winning composer Stephen Warbeck, who won his Academy Award for "Shakespeare in Love" and also wrote the score for the movie version of "Billy Elliot."
