News Tim Rice Tribute Scheduled for London's Albert Hall May 5

The Night of 1000 Voices, a gala charity concert, will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, May 5.

This special one-night-only concert celebrates the multi-award-winning lyrics of Sir Tim Rice. The evening will feature songs from The Lion King, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Aida and many more. The Night of 1000 Voices is devised and directed by Hugh Wooldridge with choral direction by John S. Morris and musical direction by David Firman.

Sir Tim's career as a lyricist took off with the early successes he had with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, but, of late, he has been closely associated with Disney and Elton John, and continues to be strongly in demand as a lyricist. He also happens to be an expert on cricket and 1960's pop music.
