News Time Stands Still to Resume Performances on Broadway in the Fall Donald Margulies' Time Stands Still, which received 2010 Tony nominations for Best Play and Best Actress in a Play (Laura Linney), will resume performances on Broadway this fall.

Directed by Daniel Sullivan, the production will begin previews Sept. 23 at a Shubert theatre to be announced.

Laura Linney, Brian d'Arcy James and Eric Bogosian, who starred in the original Broadway run at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, will transfer with the production. Alicia Silverstone, who created the role of Mandy, will be unable to continue due to previous commitments. Casting for that role will be announced at a later time.

Tickets for the production will go on May 31. (The production will be on hiatus until the fall to accommodate Linney's commitment to her new Showtime series, "The Big C," which premieres Aug. 16.)

In Time Stands Still, press notes state, "Sarah and James, a photographer and a journalist (Laura Linney and Brian d’Arcy James), have been together for years and share a passion for documenting the realities of war. But when circumstances compel them to return home to New York and their circle of friends (Eric Bogosian) the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life."

The transfer will be produced by Manhattan Theatre Club Productions, Inc. (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove Executive Producer), Nelle Nugent, Bud Martin, Ted Snowden, and Wendy Federman. The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Rita Ryack (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Darron L West (sound design), Peter Golub (original music) and Thomas Schall (fight direction).

Time ended its limited run March 27 after 27 previews and 68 performances at the Friedman. It had been extended by one week.
