News Time's Scream and Hurry Begins FringeNYC Run Aug. 15 Three separate stories unite in Paul Hoan Zeidler's Time's Scream and Hurry, which begins performances at the Cherry Lane Theatre Studio Aug. 15.

Presented through the New York International Fringe Festival, playwright Zeidler directs his work that will continue through Aug. 29.

The cast features Carlita Penaherrera (Agnes of God, Arcadia), J.J. Pyle (Balm in Gilead) and Charles Pacello (In Arabia We'd All Be Kings).

The new play is described as "an urban drama that tells three separate stories of characters from L.A., New York and Milwaukee who either instigate or find themselves a part of violence so deeply affecting, that each is compelled to make a surprising and life-altering choice. The first story centers around an abused L.A. Latina teenager who becomes the sole guardian of her mentally disabled sister when her father is suddenly murdered. Searching for a better life, she gets involved with a boy from her high school and is then confronted by her sister's pregnancy from the same boy. The second drama features a young, anxious New York nurse who turns her difficulty with 'normal men' and proclivity for self harm into successful work as a dominatrix. The final story focuses on a regular guy from Milwaukee that becomes involved with a mysterious woman whom he eventually learns is the victim of a horrifying rape. Through caring for her, he discovers the price of being good...and its reward."

Designing the production are Chris Game (sound design) and Matt Maenpaa (properties design). Kelsi Welter is the company representative.

Zeidler is also the playwright of Courage is the Price, NudeNaked, Your Mind Breathes Water and The Big Moment. Time's Scream and Hurry was presented at the Elephant Performance Lab in Los Angeles earlier this year. For tickets phone (866) 468-7619 or visit FringeNYC. The Cherry Lane Studio Theatre is located at 38 Commerce Street in Greenwich Village.
