News Times Square "BID" Presents Traffic Alert and Three Performance Stages, June 26 The NYPD and the Times Square Business Improvement District (TS-BID) normally issue traffic alerts concerning the activities of other groups in the theatre district. But on Mon., June 26, the TS-BID will actually present its own entertainment package for theatre patrons and local residents.

The NYPD and the Times Square Business Improvement District (TS-BID) normally issue traffic alerts concerning the activities of other groups in the theatre district. But on Mon., June 26, the TS-BID will actually present its own entertainment package for theatre patrons and local residents. From 5 PM - 8:30 PM, the TS-BID will host a "Taste of Times Square" on West 46th St, between Broadway and Ninth Avenue. There, neighborhood restaurants will serve samples of their fare to an estimated 13,000 patrons while "dozens of entertainers" appear on one three separate performance stages.

Because of the activity surrounding "Taste of Times Square," West 46th Street between Eighth and Ninth Ave. will be closed (or partially closed) from 11 AM - 11 PM. The event itself begins at 5 PM.
