David Ives, celebrated author of the one-act comedy compilation All In The Timing is busy readying six more one-acts for a new show at Primary Stages Off-Broadway. The compendium, titled Mere Mortals And Others, will be directed by John Rando and run Apr. 16-May 18, 1997.
Interviewed at a matinee of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way At The Forum, Ives listed the six comedies that will make up the show: Mere Mortals, Speed The Play, Foreplay, Or, The Art Of The Fugue, Degas, C'Est Moi, The Frogs, and the as-yet unfinished Doctor Fritz.
As if this weren't enough activity for the thin, professorial Ives, he's also readying a drama, called The Red Address, for Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre. That show will be directed by Pamela Berlin and star Kevin Anderson this season.
