News Timothy Haskell to Stage Nightmare: Superstitions Haunted House Director Timothy Haskell will bring a theatrical flair to this fall's edition of the popular Nightmare haunted house: Nightmare: Superstitions will run Sept. 24-Nov. 6 at NOHO Event Center.

The creative team will also include Paul Smithyman (production designer), Justin Haskell (art director), Garin Marshall (lights), David Roy (sound), Aaron Haskell (props) and Candice Thompson (costumes) with additional designs by Sylva Ventiko.

According to press notes, "Visitors to Nightmare: Superstitions enter a surreal version of The Bloomingdale Lunatic Asylum, one of America's first psychiatric hospitals, now defunct. They are visiting the schizophrenic/manic-depressive wing that specializes in extreme paranoia. Its patients have voluntarily admitted themselves seeking protection from the danger they perceive is awaiting them because they broke a superstition. They feel that locked safe away between padded walls will keep anything bad from happening. They can be relieved of this burden and set free if the patrons break the superstition and accept the bad luck themselves."

Haskell's directing credits include Road House: The Stage Play, Last Life, Stitching, The Jaded Assassin, Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy, Corporate Rock and I Love Paris.

NOHO Event Center is located at 623 Broadway. For more information and tickets visit hauntedhousenyc.com.
