News Tix On Sale for Roundabout's Machinal and Dinner With Friends Tickets are now on sale for Roundabout Theatre Company's productions of Machinal, starring Golden Globe nominee Rebecca Hall, and Dinner with Friends.

As previously announced, Hall ("Iron Man 3," "Vicky Cristina Barcelona") will make her Broadway debut in the new production of Sophie Treadwell's Machinal, which will begin previews Dec. 20 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Lyndsey Turner will direct the limited engagement, which is set to open Jan. 16, 2014.

Here's how the play is billed: "Inspired by the infamous 1927 murder trial of Ruth Snyder, Machinal is a gripping drama by American journalist and playwright Sophie Treadwell. It's America's Golden Age, a time of happiness, freedom and prosperity – or is it? For the Young Woman (Hall), a stenographer in the industrial, male-dominated world of the 1920s, life is nothing like she hoped it would be. Restless and unfulfilled in a passionless marriage and unwanted motherhood, she finds her only joy in the form of an illicit love affair. But when reality sets in and she must return to her routine existence, she’ll go to any lengths to regain her freedom. A groundbreaking work in the landscape of American theatre, Machinal is a riveting look at the danger that can come from a life unlived."

Donald Margulies' Dinner With Friends will be directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?). Performances will begin Jan. 10, 2014, at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street).

According to the Roundabout, "Ever since blissfully married Karen and Gabe played matchmaker with their friends Beth and Tom, the two couples have been inseparable—going to the Vineyard every summer, raising their kids and enjoying countless dinners together. But when one marriage unexpectedly crumbles, the couples' lives begin to veer in opposite directions. Can these four friends move on to the next chapter without moving apart... or have they changed beyond recognition? Wryly funny and richly layered, Dinner With Friends is a modern masterpiece about the path you choose, the millions you don't and the detours that make it worth the ride."
