The production will begin performances Feb. 23, 2015, at the Music Box Theatre.

Pam MacKinnon, who won a 2013 Tony Award for her revival of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, will direct the first Broadway revival of Wasserstein's play, which closed in 1990. 

The acclaimed work, which will also feature Tony nominee Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) and "American Pie" actor Jason Biggs, will officially open March 19. Tracee Chimo (Bad Jews; Lips Together, Teeth Apart) is also among the cast.

In The Heidi Chronicles, a feminist art historian and her friends — male and female, gay and straight — mature from the 1960s-80s as they search for political, professional and personal fulfillment.

Biggs (The Graduate) will play Scoop Rosenbaum, a writer who has a flirtatious friendship with Heidi, and Pinkham (Ghost the Musical) will play Peter Patrone, Heidi's gay best friend. Chimo will play the roles of Fran, Molly, Betsy and April. The original production also took home a 1989 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play (Boyd Gaines). Joan Allen, who starred as Heidi Holland, was Tony-nominated for her performance.

The Heidi Chronicles was first produced by Playwrights Horizons in 1988 before moving to Broadway, winning the Pulitzer Prize, the Tony Award, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award, the Drama Desk Award, the Hull-Warriner Award and the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.

The production will feature scenic design by John Lee Beatty and costume design by Jessica Pabst. 

The producers are led by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Susan Gallin and Mary Lu Roffe.
