News TMG's Anne Rippey Moves to Alan Wasser Office Anne Rippey, of the performing arts communications firm TMG-The Marketing Group, which bangs the drum for Broadway and national touring shows, will join Alan Wasser Associates later this year, according to Variety.

At AWA she'll be executive vice president of marketing. AWA handles Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera (and its tour) and Les Miserables, as well as tours of My Fair Lady and Whistle Down the Wind.

Her title at TMG was vice president principal, and she oversaw both the Broadway and touring divisions.

Variety reported that Rippey will head the new marketing division of AWA and the road division AWA Touring Services.

Rippey has been with TMG since 1994, specializing in press and marketing for national tours of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Before she was named a principal partner in 2006, she served as the vice president of the TMG touring division. Past tours on which she worked include Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, Contact, Fiddler on the Roof and Barry Manilow's Copacabana, among numerous others. Rippey is the recipient of the 2005 League Award for Outstanding Achievement in Marketing. She graduated from Harvard College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English & American literature.

TMG - The Marketing Group opened its doors in 1999. Its partners (Laura Matalon and Tanya Grubich founded it and continue there) create and implement "strategic marketing partnerships, promotions, awareness/branding campaigns and sales initiatives targeting the upscale consumer in New York and throughout North America." With offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, TMG currently represents the Broadway and touring productions of Mamma Mia!, Rent, The Drowsy Chaperone, Stomp, Wicked, A Chorus Line, Curtains and the tours of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Doubt, Twelve Angry Men and Legends, among others.
