According to the Hollywood Reporter, Downey Jr. would star as one part of a Broadway composing team who hope to find inspiration as counselors at a summer theatre camp after their latest musical flops. During their stint at camp the duo conceive a comeback.

Kitt and Yorkey are developing the project with Anonymous Content's Joy Gorman. Anonymous Content is among the producers. Downey Jr. also will produce alongside his wife Susan Downey under their production umbrella Team Downey.

It is reported that the Next to Normal writers have tailored the project as a vehicle for Downey Jr., which Warner Brothers purchased. The "Iron Man" star has not officially committed to the project.

Downey Jr.'s musical skills were showcased on his 2004 album, "The Futurist." The actor sang and played piano on the album that also featured eight of his original songs.
