Tom Stoppard makes a rare public appearance tonight, March 30, when he'll be signing copies of the published version of his screenplay, "Shakespeare in Love," at the Union Square Barnes & Noble, 33 East 17th Street, 7:30 8:30 PM.

Tom Stoppard makes a rare public appearance tonight, March 30, when he'll be signing copies of the published version of his screenplay, "Shakespeare in Love," at the Union Square Barnes & Noble, 33 East 17th Street, 7:30 8:30 PM. A bookstore spokesperson suggested patrons arrive 45 minutes to an hour before the starting time of the event, which will include "a discussion and a reading" by the Oscar-winning author.

Stoppard's plays include Arcadia, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, Jumpers and Artist Descending a Staircase.
