News Tommy Tune and Manhattan Rhythm Kings Play Palm Desert's McCallum Theatre Feb. 18-19 Tony Award-winning dancer, choreographer and director Tommy Tune performs with The Manhattan Rhythm Kings Feb. 18-19 the McCallum Theatre in sunny Palm Desert, California. Expect tap dancing, stories and harmonic singing.

Tune's last major New York appearance (in fact, with Manhattan Rhythm Kings) was in December 2002, opening the Little Shubert Theatre Off-Broadway with an original song-and-dance show called White Tie and Tails.

Tune has won nine Tony Awards and helped create Nine, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, My One and Only, The Will Rogers Follies, Grand Hotel, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine and more.

The actor/dancer/singer/choreographer/director is the only person in Broadway history to win in four different Tony categories and to win the same two Tony Awards two years in a row.

Tune's acclaimed one-man show, Tommy Tune Tonight!, has toured nationally and internationally.

The Manhattan Rhythm Kings are famous for their polished performances of America's most popular music from the '20s, '30s and '40s. The trio has been embraced for its combination of close harmony singing, instrumental work and tap-dancing. Performances at McCallum play 8 PM Feb. 18-19.
