News Tony Awards, "The Normal Heart," "Peter Pan Live!" and "Trip to Bountiful" Compete for Directors Guild Awards Tonight The 67th annual Directors Guild Awards are presented Feb. 7 in Los Angeles. The 68th Annual Tony Awards, The Kennedy Center Honors, "The Normal Heart," "Peter Pan Live!, "Billy Crystal's 700 Sundays" and "The Trip to Bountiful" are among the nominees.

"Glee" star Jane Lynch hosts the event at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

Among the nominations with theatrical ties are Ryan Murphy, for his work on the HBO film adaptation of Larry Kramer's landmark AIDS drama "The Normal Heart," as well as Tony Award winner Rob Ashford, who was nominated along with co-director Glenn Weiss on the NBC presentation of "Peter Pan Live!" Weiss was also nominated for his directorial work on the live telecast of the 68th Annual Tony Awards.

Nominees also include Drama Desk Award winner Michael Wilson for his work on Lifetime's "The Trip to Bountiful," starring Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams, as well as Des McAnuff for "Billy Crystal's 700 Sundays," which aired on HBO.
