The administrative committee of the Antoinette Perry Awards has scheduled a 3 PM April 30 meeting to rule on the eligibility of several late-opening shows, and to decide on possible Special Awards.
Tony Awards spokesman Kevin Rehac said the committee will act on the following items:
* Deciding categories for which the following shows will be eligible: The Chairs, Golden Child, Wait Until Dark, The Herbal Bed, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Honour and High Society.
* Deciding whether there will be a single Best Revival category, or if the category will be split this year between Best Revival of a Play and Best Revival of a Musical.
* Choosing which resident company will win the Tony for outstanding regional theatre. * Deciding whether there will be any special Tonys given this year, for lifetime achievement or other extraordinary effort.
