"Up Late w/ Alec Baldwin" will air Friday nights at 10 PM ET beginning in October. The show will feature the "30 Rock" star discussing current events and culture. "That show would be the pinnacle of the marriage between my political beliefs, my political curiosity and wanting to communicate to people on camera to a broader audience," Baldwin said to the Hollywood Reporter.
A Tony nominee for A Streetcar Named Desire, Baldwin recently starred on Broadway in the short-lived Orphans. His stage credits also include Twentieth Century, Serious Money and Loot. The Oscar nominee's film work includes "Blue Jasmine," "The Departed" and "Glengarry Glen Ross."
Baldwin has hosted the podcast "Here's the Thing" since 2011 and has interviewed politicians, policy-makers and performers, including Elaine Stritch, Rosie O'Donnell and Debbie Reynolds, as well as New York Times editor Jill Abramson and PETA senior vice president Dan Mathews.
