News Tony Nominee Christopher Sieber Returns to Cast of Broadway's Chicago Dec. 25 Two-time Tony nominee Christopher Sieber returns to the cast of the Broadway production of the Tony Award-winning revival of Chicago Christmas Day at the Ambassador Theatre.

Sieber, who once again steps into the role of slick lawyer Billy Flynn, succeeds multi-platinum recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus, who concluded his limited engagement Dec. 23.

Christopher Sieber's Broadway credits include La Cage aux Folles with Harvey Fierstein, Shrek (Tony nomination), Spamalot (Tony nomination), Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, Triumph of Love and A Christmas Carol. He recently concluded a year-long engagement with the national tour of La Cage aux Folles, opposite George Hamilton.

The Broadway company of Chicago currently features Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Carol Woods as Matron "Mama" Morton.

The revival of Chicago began life as one of the three annual Encores! presentations offered by City Center. The musical opened on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in November 1996 where it remained through February 1997. The musical transferred to the Shubert Theatre on Feb. 11, 1997, and played that house through Jan. 26, 2003. The revival reopened at the Ambassador Theatre, its current home, on Jan. 29, 2003. Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse. The modern classic has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and book by Ebb and Fosse.
