Tony nominee Jenn Colella will perform in a benefit reading of Unbeatable The Musical August 13.

Colella originated the role of Tracy Boyd during the work’s first showcase in August 2007 at the Barrow Street Theatre. Now, the star of Broadway’s Come From Away will use her night off to participate in the event, from which a portion of the proceeds will go to The Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative.

With a book by Eric Coble (The Velocity of Autumn, Bright Ideas) and music and lyrics by Todd Schroeder and Kevin Fisher, Unbeatable tells the story of entertainment executive Tracy Boyd (inspired by the show’s producer/co-creator Laurie Frey) and her battle with breast cancer.

The cast also includes Kathy Fitzgerald, Adam Money, Natalie Charle Ellis, Maria Chistina Oliveras, Cadden Jones, Michele Elmore, Orgena Rose, Pamela Reckamp, Brian Runbeck, Michael Sample, Landon Shaw, and Brittany Garrison.

The evening at The Pershing Square Signature Center also includes a post-show Q&A and a meet-and-greet reception with the cast and creators.
