2023 Tony nominee and Kimberly Akimbo star Justin Cooley has joined the roster of Broadway names that will be on hand for this year's Broadway Teachers Workshop Online. The three-day event will be held live via Zoom July 5-7, with sessions available on demand following.

The event pairs arts educators with industry professionals for online workshops, networking sessions, master classes, and panels. Participants earn professional development credits as well as optional graduate-level university credits, and retain access to resources, lesson plans, and other support materials from the sessions throughout the summer.

Cooley will be on hand for a session titled "Meet the Young Stars of Kimberly Akimbo," which will also feature Cooley's fellow cast members Miguel Gil and Michael Iskander. Other planned sessions include "Musical Theatre" with Tony winner Beth Leavel (The Prom), "Directing" with Skylar Fox (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), "Projection Design" with Daniel Brodie (Aladdin), "Scenic Design" with Tobin Ost (Newsies), "Lighting Design" with Japhy Weideman (Shucked), "Conscious Casting" with Erica Jensen (Topdog/Underdog), "Stage Management" and "Reinterpreting the Classics" with Rory McGregory (The Lehman Trilogy), "Music Direction" with Charles DuChateau (The Music Man), and "Extending Creativity" with Eric Cornell (Anastasia).

The online event follows Broadway Teaching Group's in-person workshops, which close out June 23 after four summer sessions.
