O'Hara is currently on maternity leave from the Tony Award-winning Lincoln Center Theater production of South Pacific. She earned her third Tony nomination for her performance as Ensign Nellie Forbush in the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic. Her hiatus began March 7; she's scheduled to return to the production Oct. 6. Laura Osnes (Grease) has assumed the role in O'Hara's absence.

Kelli O'Hara was honored with Tony nominations for her work in the Tony-winning revival of The Pajama Game and the Tony-winning musical The Light in the Piazza. On Broadway she has appeared in Jekyll & Hyde, Follies, Sweet Smell of Success and Dracula, the Musical. Her album, "Wonder in the World," is currently available on the Ghostlight Records label.
