Peter Hall, An Ideal Husband
Peter Hall has won Tony Awards for The Homecoming and Amadeus, and was nominated for Four Baboons Adoring the Sun. Upon graduating from Cambridge, he ran the Arts Theatre in London; directed at Stratford; founded the Royal Shakespeare Company; and was appointed Director of the Royal National Theatre from 1973 until 1988 when he launched The Peter Hall Company. He has directed over forty operas, numerous television productions and such films as Three Into Two Won't Go, The Homecoming, Akenfield and Orpheus Descending.

Lloyd Richards, Seven Guitars
Mr. Richards' collaboration with August Wilson over six plays has earned him many awards including a Tony Award for Best Director for Fences. He is the Artistic Director of the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center and has served on the National Council for the Arts. From 1979 to 1991, Mr. Richards was Dean of the Yale School of Drama. In addition to his theatre work, he has directed several television productions, including The Piano Lesson, which received eight Emmy nominations. In 1993, President Clinton presented Mr. Richards with the National Medal of Arts.

Gary Sinise, Buried Child
Mr. Sinise is a co-founder of The Steppenwolf Theatre Company of Chicago. He served as Artistic Director from 1980 to 1983, and again from 1985 to 1987. His directing credits include True West, Frank's Wild Years, Orphans and Landscape of the Body. On film, Mr. Sinise directed Of Mice and Men and Miles From Home. He was nominated for a Tony Award for his acting in the stage version of The Grapes of Wrath and received an Academy Award nomination for his performance in Forrest Gump.
