News Tony-Related Events, Including Lifetime Achievement Ceremony, Announced for 2007-2008 Season The calendar of events for the 2007-2008 Tony Awards season has been announced.

As previously reported, the 62nd Annual Tony Awards, celebrating the best of Broadway, will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall June 15, 2008. CBS will telecast the three-hour evening beginning at 8 PM ET.

The events leading up to that celebration follow.

Oct. 30: Annual Tony Honors will be presented at Tavern on the Green. This year's honorees include Gemze De Lappe, Alyce Gilbert, Neil Mazzella and Seymour "Red" Press.

May 7: Cut off-date for Tony eligibility. To be eligible for nomination for the 62nd Annual Tony Awards, Broadway shows must open on or before this date.

May 13: The nominations for the 62nd Annual Tony Awards will be announced. Playbill.com will publish the complete list of nominees that morning. May 14: The annual Meet the Nominees press reception, which allows members of the New York press to chat with those nominated for Tony Awards.

May 29: The Tony Nominees Luncheon, where the nominees celebrate each other's achievements; no press are allowed at this event.

June 14: The Lifetime Achievement Ceremony, a private reception that celebrates the winner of the year's distinguished honor.

At the League of American Theatres and Producer, Inc., Gerald Schoenfeld is chairman and Charlotte St. Martin is executive director. At the American Theatre Wing, Sondra Gilman is chairman, Doug Leeds is president and Howard Sherman is executive director.

For Tony Award Productions, Elizabeth I. McCann is managing producer and Joey Parnes is coordinating producer.

Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss/White Cherry Entertainment are executive producers of the 2008 Tony Awards. Weiss will also serve as director of the 2008 Tony Awards.
