The Committee will assemble one more time this season to decide the eligibility for the 2012 Tony Awards.
The rulings follow:
David Alan Grier will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical category for his performance in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.
Cynthia Nixon will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play category for her performance in Wit. Carla Gugino and Jim Dale will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress/Actor in a Featured Role in a Play categories, respectively, for their performances in The Road to Mecca.
Playbill.com has also learned that The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess and Wit will be eligible for nomination in the categories of, respectively, Best Revival of a Musical and Best Revival of a Play. Additionally, the revised book for Porgy will not be eligible for a Best Book of a Musical nomination.
All other decisions were consistent with the opening-night credits. That is, only actors whose names appear above the title are eligible for nomination in the Leading Actor/Actress categories. Producers must petition the Administration Committee in order to change actors' eligibility status.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee is composed of 24 members: 10 are designated by the Wing, 10 by the League, and one each by the Dramatists Guild, Actors' Equity Association, United Scenic Artists, and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.
This committee "determines eligibility for nominations in all awards categories, reviews the rules governing the awards, and appoints the Nominating Committee. It may, at its discretion, bestow non-competitive Tony Awards including Special Tony Awards, the Regional Theatre Tony Award, and the Isabelle Stevenson Award; as well as Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre."
The American Theatre Wing's 66th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards will air on CBS on Sunday, June 10 from 8-11 PM (ET/PT). Shows most open by April 26 to be eligible for this year's nominations.
