Playbill.com has learned that John Leguizamo's one-man show Ghetto Klown will be eligible for nomination in the Best Play category. The score for the hit London import War Horse, penned by Adrian Sutton and John Tams, will be eligible for nomination in the Best Score category (the scores for Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Baby It's You!, which feature pop classics, are not eligible for nomination). Although it closed only a few days after its official opening, the new play High, which starred Kathleen Turner, will be eligible for nomination. The Broadway debut of the acclaimed Larry Kramer play, The Normal Heart, will be eligible for nomination in the Best Revival of a Play category. The holiday engagement of Donny & Marie - A Broadway Christmas is not eligible for nomination.

Will Swenson and Tony Sheldon will both be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for their respective performances in Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells will both be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for their respective performances in The Book of Mormon.

John Larroquette will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his performance in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Joel Grey will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his performance in Anything Goes.

Colin Donnell will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his performance in Anything Goes.

Janet Dacal will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her performance in Wonderland.

Douglas Carter Beane will be considered eligible jointly with Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner in the category of Best Book of a Musical for Sister Act.

Patina Miller will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her performance in Sister Act.

Bobby Cannavale will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for his performance in The Motherf**ker with the Hat.

Seth Numrich will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for his performance in War Horse.

Robert Sean Leonard will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for his performance in Born Yesterday.

Edie Falco and Jennifer Jason Leigh will both be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for their respective performances in The House of Blue Leaves.

Joe Mantello will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in The Normal Heart.  

All other decisions were consistent with the opening-night credits. That is, only actors whose names appear above the title are eligible for nomination in the Leading Actor/Actress categories. Producers must petition the Administration Committee in order to change actors' eligibility status.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee includes ten members designated by the Wing, ten by the League, and one each by the Dramatists Guild, Actors' Equity Association, United Scenic Artists, and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. This committee "determines eligibility for nominations in all awards categories, reviews the rules governing the awards, and appoints the Nominating Committee. It may, at its discretion, bestow [four] non-competitive Tony Awards: Special Tony Awards and the Regional Theatre Tony Award; as well as Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre and the Isabelle Stevenson Award."

Nominations will be announced May 3.

The American Theatre Wing's 65th Annual Tony Awards will air on CBS June 12 at 8 PM ET live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City. 

The awards, Broadway's highest honor, have been broadcast on CBS since 1978.  This will be the first year that the show will be broadcast from The Beacon Theatre, which is part of the Madison Square Garden portfolio of venues. (As previously reported, Radio City Music Hall, the home of the Tony Awards for the past several years, is unavailable for this year's awards show.)
