News Tony Winner Beth Leavel Has a Giant Role in Fire Island Pines Into the Woods, Starting Tonight Tony Award winner Beth Leavel can be heard as the Giant in Fire Island Pines Arts Project's (FIPAP) production of Into The Woods, which is presented Aug. 29-31 at 8 PM at The Fradd Theatre at Whyte Hall in Fire Island Pines, NY.

The cast also includes Eric Gunhus as Rapunzel's Prince, Nicole LaFountaine as the Witch, Heather Koren as Cinderella, Steven Alan Black as the Baker, Cynthia Murray-Davis as the Baker's Wife, John Cassese as the Narrator, Dani Marcus as Rapunzel, David Ballard as Jack, Ryan Bell as Cinderella's Prince, Michael Francis Stromar as the Mysterious Man and Anna Ty Bergman as Little Red Riding Hood with Luis Villabon, Jeff Meyer, Paul Martin Kovic, Mary T Farrell, Lise Zinn and Mike Hartstein.

Jason Blitman directs with music direction by Lance Cruce.

Leavel won a Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role in The Drowsy Chaperone.

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's fairy-tale musical premiered on Broadway Nov. 5, 1987, at the Martin Beck Theatre. The production, which ran for 764 performances, won Tony Awards for Best Score, Best Book and Best Actress in a Musical.

The Disney film version of "Into the Woods" is due Christmas Day.
