News Tony Winner Betty Buckley Will Offer Master Classes in Manhattan in August Tony Award winner and Olivier Award nominee Betty Buckley, recently acclaimed for her newest concert act, Ah, Men! The Boys of Broadway, will return to New York in August to offer her Song Interpretation & Monologue Master Class at T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre.

The August Master Class consists of four to five sessions, running Aug. 5-9 from 6:30 PM-11 PM. An accompanist will be provided for singers.

In her classes, the award-winning singing actress "shares her expertise and guides her students through a methodology that facilitates audience connection through songs and monologues," according to press notes. "Her emotional connection to songs and audiences is renowned, and that very connection is at the heart of what Ms. Buckley imparts to her students."

Attendees will work to "perfect their ability to effectively communicate in their performance, their work and their relationships." The class also welcomes auditors who participate in all aspects of the class except the individual coaching by Buckley.

Betty Buckley offered acclaimed performances in Broadway's Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Song & Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 1776, Triumph of Love and Promises, Promises. She won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in the Broadway production of Cats, and she starred on the London stage in Promises, Promises and Sunset Boulevard, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her work in the latter. Her screen credits are numerous.

FOR NEW STUDENTS:
Aug. 5-8
6:30 PM-11 PM
FEE: $650 (4 Classes)
(by interview/audition only)
Sunday, Aug. 5 will be a lecture/demonstration covering her tools, philosophy, and meditation technique. Each subsequent class begins with the meditation technique and moves on to individual work. An accompanist is provided for singers.
*If new students want to add Thursday, Aug. 9 class, there is an additional fee of $150.

FOR RETURNING STUDENTS:
Aug. 6-9
6:30 PM-11 PM
FEE: $650 (4 Classes)
*If returning students want to retake lecture/meditation on Sunday, Aug. 5, there is an additional fee of $50.

FOR OBSERVERS:
Aug. 5-9
6:30 PM-11 PM
FEE: $375
(For those who are not experienced actors or singers or cannot commit to the demands of fully participating in the workshop, you will participate in all group meditation & exercises and observe individual work.) (by interview only)
