News Tony Winner Douglas Hodge Will Perform As a Man at Birdland Douglas Hodge, who won a Tony Award for his performance in the current Broadway revival of La Cage aux Folles, will go it solo Feb. 7 at Birdland.

The evening, which is titled Douglas Hodge As a Man, will begin at 7 PM. Musical director Sonny Paladino will lead a four-piece band.

Hodge is a three-time Olivier-nominated classical actor, who is currently playing Albin in La Cage aux Folles at the Longacre Theatre. For this role, he has won the Tony, the Olivier, the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards.

Hodge is also a songwriter; the upcoming evening will feature tunes from his two albums, "Nightbus" and "Cowley Road Songs," as well as songs from his new musical Meantime.
