A.C.T. has added Below the Belt as a new entry for its 2009 season, which also includes Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll, the hip-hop dance play the break/s, the musical Das Barbecü, Bo Eason's Runt of the Litter and the thriller Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Hirsch, who earned Tony Awards for Conversations with My Father and I'm Not Rappaport, previously starred in the 1996 Off-Broadway production of Below the Belt that also featured Jude Ciccolella and Robert Sean Leonard. The Seattle engagement will run May 22-June 21. Complete casting for the A.C.T. production has not been announced.

Press notes for Below the Belt read: "Somewhere, in an anonymous factory cranking out units of some unnamed product, three men try to maintain some semblance of humanity and self, despite a crushingly conformist and hyper-masculine bureaucracy. Cross the sitcom 'The Office' with Samuel Beckett, and the results might look like something like this—darkly funny, and disconcertingly familiar."

Hirsch's extensive stage credits include Sixteen Wounded, Art, A Thousand Clowns, Talley's Folly, Chapter Two, Knock Knock, The Hot l Baltimore and Barefoot in the Park. He is well known for his screen roles in "Taxi," "Dear John," "Ordinary People" and "Numb3rs."

In addition to the new entry, A.C.T. has rearranged its season schedule: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (April 10-May 10), the break/s (June 17-July 12), Das Barbecü (July 31-Sept. 6), Runt of the Litter (Sept. 18-Oct. 11), Rock 'n' Roll (Oct. 9-Nov. 8) and A Christmas Carol (Nov. 29-Dec. 27).
