Tony Award winner Cady Huffman, who nabbed her Tony for her work as Ulla in the original Broadway company of The Producers, will play the role of Ruth in an upcoming reading of Blithe Spirit.

The reading of the classic Noel Coward comedy is being presented as part of The Genesis Festival at The Crossroads Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ. The May 3 reading will also feature the talents of Peter Francis James (Charles Condomine), Suzzanne Douglas (Elvira), Socorro Santiago (Madame Arcati),  Mitchell Greenberg (Dr. Bradman), Katrina Ferguson (Mrs. Bradman) and Eunice Ha (Edith). Ted Sod directs. Show time is 8 PM.

Other Genesis Festival events include James Baldwin: A Witness by Reggie Phoenix, An Enchanted Land by Dale Wasserman and Iced Out, Shackled and Chained: Still Looking for the North Star by Kisha Tamarra Spence and Mo Beasley.

Cady Huffman received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for her performance in The Producers. She has also appeared on Broadway in The Will Rogers Follies, Steel Pier, Big Deal, La Cage aux Folles and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour and Off-Broadway in Surface to Air. Huffman has been seen on screen in "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "One Life to Live," "Sunday on the Rocks," "Hero," "Space Marines," "Itty Bitty Titty Committee" and "Romance & Cigarettes."
