News Tony Winner Joel Grey is Guest of Honor at Cabaret Opening in Berlin, Germany Cabaret Tony Award winner Joel Grey will be on hand in the city where the John Kander and Fred Ebb musical is set as the Bar jeder Vernunft production of Cabaret makes its Berlin premiere.

The recent Wicked star will be a guest of honor at the American Academy in Berlin for the week of Oct. 18.

Bar jeder Vernunft's Cabaret is set to open Oct. 23 with choreography and direction by Vincent Paterson. The opening night performance will be dedicated to Grey who will be in attendance amid an audience that will include the Chancellor of Germany.

Grey will conducting a master class at the acting academy Hochschule fur Schauspielkunst, Oct. 19 and also known as a photographer, he will be showing the first-ever European exhibition of his work at the Galerie Einstein, Oct. 21. The images to appear will include those featured in his first book, "Pictures I Had to Take" as well as new works taken in New York City.

The Cleveland, Ohio native received a Tony Award and an Academy Award for his portrayals as the Emcee in the Broadway and film versions of Cabaret. Other stage credits include Chicago; Give Me Your Answer, Do!; Harry, Noon and Night; George M!; Goodtime Charley; Marco Polo Sings a Solo, The Normal Heart; Platonov; The Grand Tour; Silverlake; When We Dead Awaken; Herringbone; and A Fool and Her Fortune.
