Entitled "Main Street," the ensemble drama is scheduled to begin filming March 16 in Durham, NC, according to Variety. "Main Street," according to the industry paper, centers on "a diverse group of residents of a small, economically moribund American city facing the consequences of change."

Producers of the Reliant Pictures film are Spencer Silna and Jonah Hirsch; executive producers are Doug Saylor and Adi Shankar.

John Doyle won a Tony Award for his direction of Sweeney Todd. He was most recently represented Off-Broadway with the Public Theater production of Road Show. Horton Foote won the Pulitzer Prize for The Young Man from Atlanta and Academy Awards for "Tender Mercies" and "To Kill a Mockingbird." Foote's Dividing the Estate recently ended a limited run on Broadway.
