The June 5 reading will kick off DTF's 39th Summer Season New Play Reading series. Show time is 7 PM.

Doyle will direct a cast that includes Alfre Woodard, Reg Rogers, Demosthenes Chrysan and Dina Shihabi.

Zealot, a finalist for the Susan Blackburn Prize, is set "at the British consulate in Mecca, where a tactical tea is interrupted by news of nearby violence," according to press notes. "When a witness seeks asylum, a diplomatic battle of wits ensues, while a life hangs in the balance."

A talkback will follow featuring the playwright, cast and director.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the box office at (802) 867-2223 or online at www.dorsettheatrefestival.org.
