Harden — who earned her Tony honor for her turn in God of Carnage — will play Dr. Elizabeth Blair, a surgeon and board member of Hamptons Heritage Hospital. "Royal Pains" returns for its second season June 3. "Royal Pains," according to the show's official website, is described as such: "After Hank, a young doctor on the fast track to success, falls from grace when he is blamed for the death of a hospital trustee, he inadvertently stumbles into the world of private medical service for the elite denizens of the Hamptons." Christine Ebersole, Campbell Scott and Andrew McCarthy appeared in the first season.
Harden has also appeared on stage in Angels in America, The Seagull, The Exonerated, Simpatico, The Years and The Man Who Shot Lincoln . She earned an Academy Award for her turn in the film "Pollock." Other credits include "Mystic River," "Into the Wild," "Whip It" and on television's "Damages."
