News Tony Winner Menzel to Offer London Concert May 20 Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, who will soon be seen at London's Royal Albert Hall in a starry concert staging of Chess, will also perform a solo concert at London's Ambassadors Theatre later this month.

Menzel will perform a one-hour concert at the London venue, currently the home of Stomp, May 20 at 8 PM. As previously announced, Menzel will make an in-store appearance at the London show-biz shop Dress Circle May 17 at 1 PM; she will autograph copies of her new CD, "I Stand."

The acclaimed singing actress has also added another U.S. concert date to her tour itinerary. She will play Delta Classic in Atlanta, GA, July 18.

Idina Menzel won a Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Elphaba in Wicked; she also opened the London production of that hit musical. Menzel created the role of Maureen in the original Broadway company of Rent, and her other theatrical credits include the City Center Encores! production of Hair, Manhattan Theatre Club's The Wild Party, the Public Theater's See What I Wanna See and the benefit Funny Girl concert. Menzel's film credits include "Ask the Dust," "Rent" and "Enchanted."
