News Tony Winner Stockard Channing Will Appear on Fourth Season of CBS Drama "The Good Wife" Tony Award winner Stockard Channing will be part of the fourth season of the CBS legal drama "The Good Wife," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Channing, who is set to guest star in at least one episode, will play Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) mother, described as "mercurial and heavily influenced by the 1960s' counterculture era."

Other Season Four guest stars include Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth, who departed the season early due to an injury sustained on the set, Tony winner Nathan Lane, Maura Tierney, Marc Warren, Amanda Peet, Christina Ricci and Miriam Shor.

"The Good Wife" stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Margulies as lawyer Alicia Florrick.

Channing won the Tony Award in 1985 for her performance in A Day in the Death of Joe Egg and was nominated for her performances in Other Desert Cities, Pal Joey, The Lion in Winter, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, Six Degrees of Separation and The House of Blue Leaves. Her other Broadway credits include The Little Foxes, Love Letters, The Rink and No Hard Feelings, among others.
