News Tony Winner White to Perform at Red, White & Blue Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC Tony Award winner Lillias White will perform at Citizens Helping Heroes' 2009 Heroes Red, White & Blue Inaugural Ball, which will be held in Washington, DC, Jan. 20.

White, who is currently in rehearsals to star in the Syracuse Stage production of Putting It Together, will perform at the ball celebrating the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States. Tiki Barber will host.

In addition to a medley of Broadway songs, the Tony winner will perform "The Wind Beneath My Wings" and "The Impossible Dream."

"I am very proud that Lillias will be singing at President Obama's Inauguration," said Putting It Together director Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj in a statement. "She carries with her all of her cast members and friends here at Syracuse Stage who support her and believe in her immense talent."

Citizens Helping Heroes is a nonpolitical, nonpartisan charitable organization dedicated to supporting military families. All proceeds of the 2009 Ball will benefit the United Service Organizations and Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. For more information on the 2009 Hero's Ball, visit www.HeroBall.org.

A Tony Award winner for The Life, White will co-star with fellow Tony winner and The Life cast member Chuck Cooper in the Syracuse Stage production of the Steven Sondheim revue Putting It Together, which runs Jan. 27-Feb. 15.

The production also features Tyler Hanes (A Chorus Line) Andre Ward (Xanadu) and Stephanie Youell (Curtains).
