News Tony Winners Deanna Dunagan and Rondi Reed Reunite With Original August: Osage County Cast in L.A. Tonight Original Steppenwolf and Broadway cast members of August: Osage County, including Tony winners Deanna Dunagan and Rondi Reed, reunite as part of the LA Theatre Works' five-performance live recording of the dark family play at UCLA's James Bridges Theater starting July 10.

The limited-engagement, which plays the James Bridges Theater (235 Charles E. Young Drive, Los Angeles, CA), features original Steppenwolf and Broadway cast members Dunagan, Reed, Kimberly Guerrero, Francis Guinan and Mariann Mayberry and national tour cast member Shannon Cochran; the production runs through July 13.

All five performances will be recorded live to air on L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theatre series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide and locally, in Southern California, on KPFK 90.7 FM.

The play by Tracy Letts (The Realistic JonesesWho's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) recounts the story of "the Weston family [who] gathers during a brutal summer heat wave to provide comfort to their bitter, substance-abusing matriarch and find their missing father." The play opened on Broadway in December 2007, after originating at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, and ran for 648 performances.

The production won five Tony Awards in 2008, including Best Play for Letts, Best Direction of a Play for Anna Shapiro, Best Leading Actress for Dunagan and Best Featured Actress in a Play for Reed.

Tickets range from $15-$60 and exact performance times can be found at latw.org or by calling (310) 827-0889. L.A. Theatre Works' radio theatre series can also be streamed on demand at that address.
