The Touchstone book, which hits stores Feb. 28, features a host of personalities describing the time they were fired from one or more jobs. The March 2 evening at Makor, scheduled to begin at 7 PM, will feature readings from the new tome. In addition to Pinkins and Gold, the event will also feature readings from writer/comedian Andy Borowitz, "The Sopranos" actor Carl Capotorto, InStyle editor Martha McCully, actor-producer Fisher Stevens, NPR commentator Brian Unger and actress-writer Annabelle Gurwitch.
Makor is located in Manhattan at 35 West 67th Street. Tickets to the event, priced $12 (advance) and $15 (at the door), are available by calling (212) 601-1000 or by visiting www.makor.org.
