News Tovah Feldshuh is The Queen of Mean Tonight The Tony nominee plays Manhattan hotelier Leona Helmsley in a reading of a new musical.

Four-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh stars in the Actors’ Temple presentation of Queen of Mean: The Rise and Fall of Leona Helmsley April 4. The new musical, which will also be performed April 7, is based on the New York Times bestselling biography by Ransdell Pierson.

Feldshuh stars as business woman Helmsley, whose occasionally notorious behavior earned her the nickname “Queen of Mean.“ The musical features a book by Alex Lippard and David Lee, lyrics by Lee, music by Ron Passaro and additional lyrics by Lippard.

Queen of Mean is billed as a “rollicking and emotionally gripping portrait of Leona Helmsley,” depicting the “Faustian rise-and scandalous fall from grace-of the notorious Manhattan hotelier.“

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, $15 for AT members and students under age 18. They can be purchased online at theactorstemple.org/events or by calling (212) 245-6975. The Actors' Temple is located at 339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenue.
