Six-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh, most recently on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of Pippin, will step into the shoes of late hotel queen Leona Helmsley, who was imprisoned for tax evasion, next month at Feinstein's/54 Below.
The Emmy nominee, whose recent TV credits include The Walking Dead, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Salvation, will offer Tovah Is Leona! July 5–7 at 7 PM at the intimate nightspot. Attendees can expect to enjoy highlights from the Broadway-aimed musical Queen of Mean, based on the biography by Ransdell Pierson.
Feldshuh—as Leona—will sing about everything from her meteoric rise from office temp to Queen of the Palace, to her real estate rival Donald Trump.
The Queen of Mean has music by Ron Passaro,
lyrics by David Lee, and a
book by Alex Lippard and Lee with a concept and additional lyrics by Lippard.
Conceived by Feldshuh, Tovah Is Leona! features musical direction, arrangements, and additional lyrics by James Bassi with

Feldshuh’s celebrated Broadway outings include Yentl, Sarava!, Lend Me a Tenor, Golda’s Balcony, Irena’s Vow, Cyrano, Dreyfus In Rehearsal, and Rodgers & Hart.
