Unfazed by the quick closing of her cabaret evening, Tallulah, Tovah Feldshuh has already found another show: Danny and Faye, running June 19-July 5 at the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center in Nyack, NY.
Feldshuh plays Faye, the consummate Jewish mother trying to plan her son's education, marriage and life. Danny has other plans, however.
Feldshuh's Broadway credits include Yentl and Lend Me A Tenor and soloed in Off-Broadway's Tovah: Out Of Her Mind!. In Danny and Faye she'll be joined by Alix Korey (Triumph of Love, No Way To Treat A Lady at NY's York Theatre), Jessica Stone, Ian Kahn, Michael Mallone and Doris Belack (The Cemetery Club).
Gordon Greenberg directs this world premiere of Benjamin Feldman's comedy. Designing the show are Narelle Sissons (sets), Gail Cooper-Hecht (costumes), Jeff Croiter (lighting) and Guy Sherman (sound).
Hopes are high that the show will move to Off-Broadway in a co production with Daryl Roth (How I Learned To Drive, Old Wicked Songs). For tickets ($20-$35) and information on Danny and Faye at the Helen Hayes Center, 117 Main St., call (914) 358-6333.
