The Town Hall has announced its 2014 Summer Season, three one-night-only, music-filled events.

This series will kick off June 27 at 8 PM with The Ambassador Revue, the American premiere of a 1928 musical revue by Cole Porter. Directed by Ken Bloom, the evening will feature musical direction and arrangements by Grammy winner Vince Giordano. Giordano and the Nighthawks Orchestra will be joined by vocalists, a tap dance team and a ballroom dance couple. Broadway Rising Stars, which is created, hosted and written by Scott Siegel, will be presented July 14 at 8 PM. Directed by Scott Coulter, the performance will spotlight recent graduates from the nation's leading performing arts schools. In a statement host Siegel said, "Many great classical artists began their career with a Town Hall debut. In keeping with that spirit of discovery, The Town Hall and I are committed to Broadway's future and the idea of presenting talented newcomers to The Great White Way. We're pleased that we can give these future stars their New York debuts, while also providing our audience with a rich and rewarding night of entertainment." The cast — which includes talent from AMDA, CAP 21, Circle in the Square, Juilliard, Marymount, The New School, NYU's Steinhardt, Tisch, Pace University and more — will perform over two dozen show tunes.

The series will conclude July 17 at 8 PM with Maestro Bernstein. The play-with-music, written and performed by Hershey Felder, features music and lyrics by Leonard Bernstein and others. Joel Zwick directs. Felder, according to press notes, "combines first-person narrative with the compositions of Bernstein and others to draw us deeply into a fascinating life-a life filled with tragedy and triumph...and music."
