The 7 PM performance boasts the talents of Tracie Thoms as Girl with de'Adre Aziza, Brandon Victor Dixon, Christina Acosta Robinson, McKenzie Frye, Karma Mayet Johnson and Peter Jay Fernandez. Toru Dodo is featured on piano.
Girl Shakes Loose Her Skin is described as a "musical and theatrical exploration of one girl's journey to womanhood inspired by and featuring the poetry of Philadelphia poet Laureate Sonia Sanchez."
The creative team includes Imani Uzuri (composer, lyrics, musical director), Zakiyyah Alexander (book, lyrics) and Patricia McGregor (director).
