The season will kick off October 16 with Queen of the Mist at the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture. The concert presentation will reunite Testa with the original Off-Broadway cast in celebration of the show’s five-year anniversary.

On December 5, the company will stage a concert presentation of A Man of No Importance at the Pershing Square Signature Center. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Following its Obie-winning revival of Inge’s The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, Transport Group returns in 2017 with two more of his plays in repertory. Performances of Picnic and Come Back, Little Sheba: William Inge in Repertory will begin February 23, 2017, and run through April 23 at the Gym at Judson, with direction by artistic director Jack Cummings III. The show will officially open March 26.

“Inge, an archeologist of American loneliness, writes with an aggressive empathy for the triumphs and failures of the heart at a time in our country’s history when the possibility of greatness was alluringly just at the fingertips,” describe Transport Group production notes. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Scenic design for Picnic and Come Back, Little Sheba: William Inge in Repertory will be by Dane Laffrey with costume design by Kathryn Rohe and lighting design by R. Lee Kennedy.

Tickets to Queen of the Mist start at $35 and are available at transportgroup.org along with subscription packages for later shows.
